About Honnavar Coastal Immersion
Honnavar is a small coastal town in Karnataka, known for its lush greenery and Blue Flag certified beaches. Situated between the Arabian Sea and the banks of the Sharavathi River, it is home to one of India’s longest railway bridges (2.065 km). The town is renowned for its woodcraft and carving works, and it also hosts a port that was historically significant during the time of Marco Polo. The Western Ghats, surrounding greenery, and monsoon season add to the area’s natural beauty. Honnavar serves as a hub for numerous attractions such as waterfalls, beaches, rivers (for boating), forts, temples, and more. A 2-3 day trip allows visitors to explore most of these attractions and enrich their travel diaries with unforgettable experiences.
